Default Removing Dowl pins

Hey guys. any of you have a good way of removing trans to engine dowl pins.... my 6.0 seemed to have pulled out the pin from the old trans. and when i pulled my 5.3 it left the pin in the trans... you can see my issue here.... i have been spraying it with pd blaster and beating it with a hammer..... better way to do this??? or keep banging till my arm falls off?? thanks

Les
