How much drop is achieved when removing the overload springs? I have some Assassin trac bars to put on and might remove the overload springs to get a little more drop in the rear. I rarely haul anything over 500lbs. Thanks!

It won't lower it sadly, my third thin leaf I added only gave me 3/8" lift...

If you have a flip kit, it won't lower at all. Otherwise, just less than one inch in my experience.

I've read that some guys have been successful by removing the middle leaf instead, leaving the overload, and adding traction bars. I think they said just over one inch drop. IIRC.

Yes it will lower it, since the axle sits under the leaf springs. I figure it would lower it the same thickness as the leaf but I don't know what the thickness is, 1/2" maybe?

The thickness is close to 3/4" and that is what drop you will get.

Because it removes arch from the spring pack, thus lowering your truck. Another means of achieving your goal.
