Default restalling converter

Has anyone here ever restalled the factory torque converter? If so how much can it be raised and who did it?

Yes,I have had a factory converter restalled, you can get approx 500rpm more stall that way.Not long ago Yank was offering a restall deal on a Trailblazer converter that stalled about 3000rpm.I was less than pleased with my restalled converter that was done locally,so I would suggest going to someone like Yank who has experience restalling our truck converters or buying a new converter.

A friend of mine wants a 3000rpm converter but doesn't have the cash right now. So I was bumping around some low cost options for him. If they can only increase the stall by 500 that would only make it some where around a 2000rpm, not worth it then.

I think yank can restall the stocker up to like 2100 rpm if not mistaken. How high does he want it stalled up to? My 2500 hughes only ran me like 350 brand new and works great.
