Richmond Gear 6 speed Transmission

Richmond Gear 6 speed Transmission
Does anyone have experience with the Richmond Gear 6 speed OD trans? Durability? Ease/speed of shifting? How does it work in a truck? Fitment issues?
It has deeper gears than the T-56 so it wouldn't require the deep 4.88 or 5.13 rear gears. 3.73 or 4.10 would work well, thus keeping driveshaft RPM down away from the critical speed. It also has a deep 4.79:1 reverse ratio compared to the 2.9:1 in the T-56, which is great for trucks and backing up trailers.
Various gear ratios are available, for example:
1 3.27
2 2.22
3 1.57
4 1.24
5 1.00
6 0.76

I had the 5 speed version of that trans, and it was amazing. I found after a few miles it shifted like butter, but it depends on your clutch selection a bit.
It fit in my 69 nova with a healthy 350 SBC "maybe 375-400 HP", and lasted easily through my power shifting.
Durability has to do with both weight and power of a vehicle so that is a question for Richmond.

If they have strong clutch and bell housing offerings for Gen III/IV V8's, then I say go for it.! It's a pricey trans though. Oh yeah a lot of muscle car write-ups I see for that trans, use a centerforce clutch. That might be fine for a 3300lb car make a whopping 400ft-lbs, but for a truck, I'd ask for more.
