I believe to use the PowerTrax or Lock-Right lockers; you will 1st have to locate a usable open differential, as the listed units will not fit into the G80 case. You may check into it, but if I recall correctly, that is what you will need to do. I believe you may be better off just springing for a TruTrac or Eaton LSD. Also, if your G80 has quite functioning, you may be on borrowed time before catastrophe strikes and need to get that unit out of there.

The powertrax and lockrite are made by the same company but operate differently. The power trax is complete junk IMO.You have to apply force to get it to engage.Sorta like foot breakin it and letting off,and you have to be stationary for it to lock up..The lock rite would be better of the 2.Your best option is the detroit true trac..

I put a Powertrax in my Cutlass behind a healthy 455 (supercharged). We race the car for several years. I pulled the unit because I wanted to move it to a different car because I twisted the axels in the car (time to upgrade the rear end). When I did, the PowerTrax looked the same as when I put it in. The gears looked pristine. I installed it in my other Cutlass and it is still working today.

Mine did ratchet or click when I turned. I always had two tires spinning no matter what speed a gunned it from.

Just my experience
