So if i'm understanding this correctly, if I run the same setup as beeblebrox with the 10" shocks and #700 spring for RCSB with stock spindles my drop would be from adjustable from 3" to 5" respectively? I am looking into this because my truck will be a daily and we get a decent amount of snow in Ks so I would like to raise it in the winter. Any comments would be appreciated. And excellent write-up, should def become a sticky!-Sam
Now if you include spindles as adjustable yes you could go from 3" to 5" but I doubt you would want to swap spindles every winter (although it's not that bad, I have it down in about 10 min per side now lol)

Ya my ball joints aren't too happy but I grease them about once a month, I have moog uppers/tie-rod ends but cheap lowers, don't feel like spending $100 per side because I have to cut the stud down to clear my rims.

TheBeeblebrox do you have a problem with ture rubbing? my truck only has 2" lowering springs on it and I noticed thers is rubber marks from the tire hitting the fender well since I swapped out the bump stops for shorter pair

Alrite thanks for the input man, I'm a tech at the local chevy dealership so swapping spindles every winter wouldn't be that much of a challenge! Now I just need some $ and to figure out how I'm goin to lower my rear. Would like to go 5" in the rear but same deal I am goin to need to drive it in the winter. What setup do you have? Was thinkin about goin as far as lookin into a 4-link...

I have a Mcgaughy's flip kit out back thats it.
You could probably do a flip kit and put some helper bags on to lift it back up to a 5" drop in the back
Honestly you would probably be better off with bags, you don't have to lay frame so no major surgery (Ride Tech makes a bolt on kit w/4-link for our trucks), and you get the adjustability at the press of a button. Just costs more.

I've got a friend with just the coilovers at 4" and maybe even lower and it's rough as ****.
He bought spindles to correct it. I got 5" super easily with drop spindles and towards the top of the spring with 8" springs. I may buy 10" springs to try them out. I'm running #850 springs on my 3.6 shocks.
Air ride would be your best bet. I'm getting stuff together to bag mine. I already have my 3link kit and bags.
