Im using ridetech upper and lower strongarms, 4.1 adjustable shocks, and 800# 10" springs. The ride is great, but it does need a stiffer spring.

So if I wanted to keep my 2" spindle drop up front, and not go any lower, 6.3" shock and 14" springs?

Im not sure that will work. You can only fit so much spring and shock in a package until you have to move either the upper or lower mount. In our case, it would most likely be the upper mount. Doable, but how much work do you want to do? Or how much money do you want to spend? When picking a shock/spring combination, the goal should be to compress the shock at your desired rate with the truck sitting on it's own weight.

It's upgrade time.

Hopefully tomorrow after work I'll do the mock up and find out what shock I need, swapping to the Belltech spindle so I can keep the full 2" drop (can't relocate the balljoint anymore with the McGaughy's 16"+).

With the 16+ I had to mill down the back of the spindle.

Ya I'm not even going to deal with that, thats why I got the belltechs again, plus they're taller witch should give a better camber curve.

So here's where I'm at now, ran out of time and motivation to mock-up the lowers, so that will be sometime next week.

Running just the upper arms for now

Compared to stock

I don't like that they don't come with provisions for the brake line, so I'm going to have to drill and tap my brand new arms. <--**** that, zip ties ftw.

Side note, going from the McGaughy's to Belltech spindles lowered my truck a little more, I don't think the balljoints seat properly on the McGaughy's.

Finished the mock-up today, going with the 6.3" shocks (I'm raising the truck up an inch from the current ride hight for more clearance/less rubbing).

Hard to accurately measure the difference between the two but the Strong Arms' mount is lower than stock, maybe by about 1"
