Has anyone done this with qa1? I have DJM 4" LCAs and qa1s. Was wondering what spring rate and length anyone is running on a rcsb with 5.3

I have the qa1 501 double adjustable

A couple guys are running qa1's not sure what their rates/lengths are, maybe they will chime in.

I don't see why not, just measure first and order what works, might want to look into what the off-road guys are doing to get an idea.

Awesome! Thanks! What is the part number of those coil overs? Or what would work? I was looking at qa1 and ridetech.

What you're going to have to do is measure your current ride hight from the shock tower to the LCA shock mount and find an applicable length shock to use.

On RideTech's site they have a stroke length (overall travel) with the compressed and extended lengths - ideally you want to be in the middle of those two with a slightly positive bias (so you don't bottom out).

In my case I'm running the Stud mount 6.3" stroke shock with a compressed/extended length of 12.63"/18.93" and my ride hight is about 15.5" iirc.

If you want to use a bearing mount with an adapter, this will change your measurements so keep that in mind too.

I have a lot more weight to control but for reference, I'm on a DS-301 with a 1300# 6" Eibach Spring. It feels perfect.

You have 4wd though, and most likely a shorter distance to fit the shock. 2wd setups generally need a longer shock.

I see that Atomic. More and more I think about cutting the shock towers and welding in some universals higher up on or from the frame rail to get a longer shock.

Sold my truck to Rocky Mount Motors in NC this weekend. Traded for a '03 Suburban 2500, 6.0, 4WD. Absolutely love this truck. Good luck to everyone in their coilover swaps.
