You can fit those 28/11.5s on stock 16X7 wheels , they fit a little better on aftermarket 16X8s tho. On a well prepped track those 11.5 should dead hook.

okay, I have a stupid question: Which rear spacing do I need on the 16 x 8 rims? 4-7/16" or 3-5/8"?

4-7/16 if you want them to be close to being in the fender, although they still may not tuck. 3-5/8 if you want them sticking out of the fender.

What's the backspacing on the stock 16x7 rims? So, basically I run a wider tire with the 3 5/8" backspacing?

Which do you prefer? I tend to go with them tucked for multiple reasons,...just curious on your thoughts.

get the 11.5's on stock rims... plenty of people running that combo with excellent 60' results.

I have seen the 28x12.50 on stock wheels also and look alot wider than a 11.5,,,, I would definately go with the 28x12.50, so just incase you want to upgrade to a 16x10 wheel later, you'll have a great tire for that also...

edit: by the way is this combo going to be for track only? if it is, dont waste your money and go with some 28x10.0 Hoosier drag slicks... they cost the same with a whole lot better traction...

This is what I'm doing until I get this 5-lug thing figured out. I got some stock 16x7's off of ebay last week.
