Default rollerized 4l80e

I have seen that a lot of performance trans builders are rollerizing the 4l80e i know that means installing torington bearings in place of the normal thrust washers. just not sure where. i did find a th400 build where a torington bearing from a th350 was used at the rear of the case to rollerize that part of the trans and supposedly th400 and 4l80e are almost the same and share a lot of parts. im wondering if this can be done in a 4l80e as well. i found that u can buy a forward hub that is cut for a torington bearing. is that all that is needed to rollerize a 4l80e? is it worth it at sub 1000hp levels. im gathering info for 4l80e build im going to do and i want to know if it is worth it for a 800hp big block in a 84 c-10. So far i have decided to get 300m input shaft, rollerized billet front hub, 34 element sprag for direct drum and red alto clutches with hd2 kit. i also have to convert this trans to a 2wd unit and im not sure what output shaft i will need to buy so i can use my current th400 bolt in yoke. Its seems that there are several bolt in yoke output shafts of various lengths. i found the sonnax reluctor for the rear speed sensor and i found a normal 2wd tail housing. I got a 01' 4wd core for basically free so i couldnt pass it up and now i have decided to replace the current 400 with a 4l80e and electronic controller. any info would greatly be appreciated.

We rollerize the rear the same as a TH400. We also rollerize the forward hub on all builds. This rides against the direct drum, which spins the opposite direction in low gear.
At 6K rpm, the rpm differential is over 11,000 rpm here. You decide.

Your front hub is the one i was refering to. I would almost say that would be a requirement with that kind of rpm difference. I was going to refer to your front hub but i wasnt sure if i was allowed to name drop manufacturers rebuilders names on here. Do yall provide a bearing or a part number for the forward hub as well? I was actually planning on buying the billet front hub from you as well as maybe a billet input. Im not quite ready to dig into this just yet as I havent found the info i need on the output shaft i need just yet so i can convert from 4wd to 2wd with bolt in yoke. I cant seem to find anyone who knows the right output shaft i need. I would be happy to buy that from u as well if you have a 2wd output the right length even tail housing as well. I am also confused on what a perfect pump build is.

Removing the rear thrust washer and installing a bearing in 400's is standard practice at most performance shops. And anyone worth their salt does the same in their 80e's as well. Not everybody installs the bearing at the forward / direct drums as a rule of thumb. However i do if the vehicle is going to spend a big part of it's life in high rpm situations.

Both mods are well worth the time and effort in my opinion.

Ok simple enough. when i get it appart ill pm you. do you need the t case housing also? rear speed sensor plug? the plug in the back of the housing?
