rotating a nvg/np 149 transfer case?
I just picked up a '72 blazer that has the d44 front axle with the passenger side drop for the drive-shaft.
I am planning on building a t-56 and mating it to a nvg/np 149 awd transfer-case. The problem is, the 149 has a drivers side drop. So I have 2 options. 1. Find a new front axle with drivers side drop, or 2. Rotate the transfer case to the passenger side. A new front axle is pretty expensive because there are only a couple years a ford d44 would fit(and they are pretty hard to find).
So that leaves me with rotating the transfer cause. I could not find a lot of info on rotating the 149. Anyone have any idea if it is possible?

I may be wrong, but I'm 99% sure that it can't be done because of the design of the oil pump pickup tube and oiling system design. That would really be your only issue that I can think of.
