Default running auto tune with T56 install?

Ok bout to do this and have read the "big" post in the past and now rereading it and may have missed it. Can I run my truck with the T56 using the current tune for the automatic? I wanted to get it running and get some more logs before I send off for a retune?
Thanks
Dave

Yes, but you may have a half dozen or so codes, and the abs, ses, and brake lights may all be on or flashing. I'm in the middle of this right now too, and about to send my PCM out as well. Besides the PCM freaking out about not having a trans, and speedo being jacked up, it drives pretty well.

ok thanks that is what I had heard. Mine is going into my 68 Pickup so I dont have ABS or that light, my speedo can be calibrated s it is an aftermarked electronic on but I am sure the one to the pcm will read wrong. I will probably just give it a try. I thought I had read others had done that.
