I did these a couple of years ago, and it firmed up the pedal. Then, I got R1concepts slotted/drilled rotors, and all of the brake fade that happens when you hammer on it, and are hard on the brakes went away. I did the hydroboost conversion a couple of months ago, and the brakes are amazing now. I always thought about going with bigger brake like Bear, or similar, but I think mine are good enough.

I think all GM trucks should have come with hydroboost standard.

Ive thought about the hydroboost but im not sure about doing it right now.. ill be checking everything over really good tomorrow for leaks, if i dont find any then ill feel alittle better about the end result of doing the lines.. i may also rebleed the front brakes again just to be sure..

Thanks guys

I had a time with the rear centerline as well. It ended up leaking some and I had to tighten it some more. The hydroboost mod is probably next on my list because of the constant prases it gets. From what I understand its a must for the hydroboost conversion.

I used the brakes kinda hard today and when everything cooled down i crawled under the truck and checked everything.. i had a very slight leak from my passenger front line where the braided line meets the hard line so i tightened it some more and im gonna rebleed my front brakes again probly in the next couple days so maybe that will firm them up alittle more..

Thats how I found my leak in my center line. Drove for weeks with ZERO issues. Did a panic stop and it just went to the floor. It was like I had slabs of butter for brake pads. Got home and inspected and seen where some fluid had squeezed out.

Dang, thats a bad way to find a leak.. i sat in my driveway and pushed the pedal as hard as i could several times and then checked.. worked ok for me.. i hope i can firm up the pedal alittle more when i rebleed them cause it wasnt as big of an improvement as i hoped more, maybe i just expected too much from the brake line swap.

when I first put on a set of goodridges I ended up blowing a leak in a rear axle hardline that had a small crease int it from the slightly increased pressure... scared the **** out of me. But now all taken care of. SS lines are almost always one of the first mods I do to my vehicles.

oh, and btw, hawkpadsdirect (kingtek) website is selling goodridges for CHEAP! Just ordered and received another set for nbs for $109 free shipped with coupon merry2011
sorry if thats like spam just thought I'd pass on the deal!
