Default servo install

Does anyone have info as to how hard it is to install a vette servo and billet od servo? What kind of time frame am I looking at. Did you have to remove the transmission from the cross member? Was it on any kind of lift? Did you work around the exhaust or just remove the y pipe?

From what I've been told it is very easy to do if you drop the cross member, I will be installing a vette servo also and would like to know a lil more info about it.

An hour or less I would say. Don't have to remove trans from cross member or remove y-pipe. I had to remove a heat sheild. Did it on the floor with front end on jack stands. Kinda of tight and can be a PITA to get the cover back on and the c-clip back in.

Everything that is said here sums it up. You only remove the heatshield, and go to town on removing things.

I did it on my 03' about a month ago. Took probably about an hour tops. Only needed a small prybar to help push the cover to get the outside snap ring on. A small flatblade too to help pop off the ring to start with.

Biggest thing that helps is to try and keep everything in order when removing the pieces, that way you know how to put it back together.

Definate improvement in the 1-2 shifts.

The order of things was what I was most worried about. Since I will be doing both at the same time.

It's a piece of cake. When you get it apart, there not nearly as much stuff as you probably think. I installed a corvette servo on The Wood Hauler's truck and he got his from Oregon Performance. His came with an illustration of the parts breakdown. You can find there store on E-Bay. Good luck!

Amazine how these trucks vary,I have swapped mine out a few times, the only way it will come out is to drop the crossmember, which then the Tcase rests on the torsion bar crossmenber, swap takes me 20 min. Air and a rack sure make things easy.
