shift kit installed........not shifting very hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Default shift kit installed........not shifting very hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just got my transgo shift kit and servo installed. trucked shifted ok at first but only at wot. then after 2 days or so it feels as if there's no shift kit installed. how can i get it to shift firmer with and with out it being at wot. i would like it to chirp 2 at at least 70% throttle. Thanks in advance

Adaptive learning? Tune it out maybe?

i didn't do the install a local shop did it and dont know i can find out Monday

That is the adaptive learning,thats why you need tuned for the shift kit.

2nd gear chirp . . = 50% less tire life.

Yes it definitely sounds like you need a tune. Wheatley or Black Bear can definitely help you out with this if you do not have someone local to you. Vince

what will the tune do? bump up the line pressure? and how much would that cost? will it be the same as getting the engine tune or is there a tune just for the tcm?

probably just zero out the shift times.

Buy the tuning software yourself and save yourself a ton of hassle. Trust me.
