Default Shift Kit recommendations?

hey their just wondering what shift kit to get.. i already have the servo and been looking into the transgo shift kit. but i they offer two the regular and the hd2? what do u recommend? i like smooth shifts at cruise speed but once i get on it i want that hard shift... anyone? thanks

For shifts that are softer, I'd go with the HD2 kit with no washers installed...

That's what I ran on my rebuilt FLT unit on my 01. Still shifted plenty firm (chirp tires) but I also don't know if FLT did any other shift firming changes.

line pressure in the tune?? that would/could have been one reason why you were chirping on the shift....?

i guess hd2 is the way to go then? well that was easy.. ill b ordering that asap..... thanks alot guys..

Don't forget to order the hardened separator plate. You'd about as well do it as long as you are going to be in there for the shift kit.
