Default Shift Problem

I have a 2005 Silverado Crew Cab with 1700 miles. I installed the predator programmer and since then have been having a problem with the 1 - 2 shift. The problem is that it doesn't consistantly shift at the same point. It may shift at 5600 one time then then next time the tac goes past 6000 rpm and the truck shuts off like when you hit the factory top speed limiter. Currently I have the shift mph at 38mph and 5900 rpm for the 1 - 2 shift. Rev Limiter is set at 6200. Also, the 2 - 3 shift shifts pefectly every time.
