Default Shift Times w/Transgo?

What are you guys running for shift times for 1-2 shift with a transgo shift kit. I just got efilive and am thinking of lengthening them in the lower part of the table, as my 1-2 shift at part throttle is a bit firmer then I would like. Thanks.

I'm interested in this as well. Not very happy with my Transgo 1-2 shift, even though the Transgo guy seemed to like it a lot.

I've got mine at .500 for lower end. .250 through part throttle and .100 for the upper torque range. Still shifts pretty stiff at low throttle. I think I'm gonna have to dig back into the trans an remove the spacer to soften it to where I want it. Either that or a stock seperator plate.

Wow, you have a spacer in there?

I have none and it's still too stiff for me. Course, that's with the stock TC.

here we go again................

I would like some info as well. I have EFI LIve on the way and still not completely happy with the 1-2. Although, the 2nd round of tuning did make it 1000 times better. I will find out what I have and post them.

Of course I only have the boost valve and mtl pistons in there....

Jim at Transgo said if I didn't like the 1-2 shift to take the .490 boost valve out. Which doesn't make a lot of sense, since doesn't the boost valve control flow to all the shifts?

Where's that tranny expert that's been hanging around (or is he at Tech )?

posts like these leave me thankful I have the 4l80e, I couldn't be happier.

If you just want to bounce some ideas off someone you might try to get ahold of HitmanX, he has lots of practical 4l60 knowledge.

PM me for contact info if interested.

Yeah, having the 80's strength with the 60's gearing would be ideal...

I've been everywhere with tune. It is much improved from the factory settings and especially the radix tune. Key areas to tune are the shift time and the temperature pressure modifier table. I am confident that by just removing the vette servo I have installed will put it where I like the part throttle firmness.... just not so confident about the WOT shift then. I am living with the firmer part throttle shifts for fear of slipping at WOT without the mechanical pressure modifiers. I'm really beginning to dislike the electronic control. I've not changed things for a long while and even now the part throttle shifts are inconsistant. Some are great others are hard. Vacuum modulation may be the way to go.

If you can get over the first gear thing, most people tend to like the rest of the 4l80's gearing better. For me it hasn't been an issue as I've always been traction limited. That new 6L80e should be a great street tranny, not sure how well it will do at the track though.
