I have all TM removed. Did it the day I installed the kit. I'm with NakedAV. The 1-2 part throttle is the issue. Everything else is sweet. You could probalby make yours act like my part throttle does. Run the RPM up in first and just before the 2nd gear shift let off the throttle. It just slingshots into second. Best way I know how to describe it.

are you positive all the tqmgmt is out?

Yeah, all I know about it is that it's weak as hell....guys at Tech are breaking them in 3500 lb F-bodies with just bolt-ons. Another 1.25 tons of weight together with more power ain't gonna help matters none.

I was assembling my fantasy Avalanche last night...6.7L, 6L80, big rear end. Guy can dream, can't he? I guess if it's going to happen, though, I'll have to do it myself....kind of like James B. did with his Sub.

ummm yeah, based upon all that I have read for removing it. not seeing any timing pull or torqe drop in the logs.

I cant remember exactly but I think it was
.082 towing
.093 street strip
.125?? high stall /performance

so yeah the bigger the hole the more fluid it allows to come thru
therefore making a firmer shift

I went away from the transgo directions on the 1-2 drilling and ran with 0 washers instead of the suggested 2
I would also like to add this
I was also running sonnax accumulators and
a vette servo FWIW

hmmm, good info, thanks. Now, would having the sonnax accumulators and
a vette servo add to shift firmness than if you did not install them?

I would say so on the servo

but on the sonnax accumulators
you cant use the transgo springs, you have to use the stock ones
and the heavier transgo springs for the accumulator helps firm up the shifts

but then again
the sonnax piece is machined alot diferently than the plastic or aluminum ones
so its kinda hard to say on the accumulators
