I was just toying around and had it in 1st gear, it shifted out around 3500 with part throttle. Is this normal? I thought it was supposed to stay in that gear. thanks

yea its normal, cause i do it my truck alot, actually seems quicker doing that way, like i put mine on 3 or 2 and it seems to accerlate alot harder, but yea it will shift out still

Yup they all do it, unless you run it up hard in first... Try that it wont shift till you do..

ya if you just cruise it will shift..pisses me off sometimes cuz i didnt want it to shift.

Hell yes it pisses me off, makes me wish I had a manual. I'm trying to go easy on my tranny since it's stock and I just want to hear the truck at WOT with the new magnaflow. But I'm trying to avoid the 2-1 downshift since I think it's hard on the tranny and the 6.0 just lights up the rears.

They have it, it just doesn't seem like a lot anymore. When I first got it over the 4.8 I was like "damn" but now I need more.

I dont recall mine shifting out of first (when gear selector was in 1) after it was vac. modulated.

Yes vac mod will stop it. And yes it can be tuned out
