Default Shiftkit and servo help

I have the Hd2 shiftkit installed with 2 brass washers that sit on the servo. It didnt shift very hard so I got the vett servo. I put it in and it was horrible it was like no shiftkit was even there. I put it back to stock with the washers in like it was. I won't even bump 1st. It's just nice and smooth. Can some that has this done please help me out. Thanks guys. Jason

you installed all the valves and accumulator springs? I did 2 shims and I was breaking the tires loose. It should be quick and firm, but not necessarily break the tires loose.

do you have a tune or a converter?

Yeah I'm cammed and tuned. I had the dealership put it in. It's just horrible I was expecting more. Gonna pull out the shims this weeked and see if it helps. Very disappointing.

I have an HD2 kit and vette servo, you should feel it shift to 2nd under throttle, it should be a quick, firm upshift.

did you tell them not to reflash the PCM? I had to stand there and watch the guy because they insisted that they needed to reflash for a bulletin. I was adamant and told them no. They seemed like they didnt want to hear it, so when the guy hooked up the computer I ****** told him DO NOT REFLASH

A lot of the techs will feel a weird shift and think it needs a reflash. The mechanical parts alone should have been pretty noticeable though.

Thanks for the help. Got it figured out today. I took out the parts that were added for the hd2 shiftkit. I took out the 2 big brass washers or shims and the extra spring in the servo housing that is held together with the c clip. Shifts great now. Spun all 4 for about 5 feet. Bumped second nicely and was crisp going into 3rd.
