Default shiftkit for a turbo upgrade

im looking to put a turbo on my 03 5.3. and i know that the best way to keep the tranny alive is to put a 80e in the place of the 60e. but i would like to see my options for a kit for my 60e to get the ball rollin to get the turbo installed. ive seen a article in GM high-tech performance mag about a 600rwhp 60e overhaul. i looked it up from century transmission company and ive seen some prices. but i would like some input from the guys that are doin this everyday.

another thought i had was mayb a 5 or 6 speed inplant???? just lookin for some advice!

thanks in advance

There is no one that makes a 60e that will hold 600 rwhp in a heavy truck for very long. They can get away with it in a car that is 700-1000 lbs lighter. Do an 80e and you will never have to worry about it.
