the second and third gears i believe are better than a 60e, thus resulting in higher trap speeds.

I agree,

Third in both trannys is 1-1. Second in the 60 is 1.62-1 the 80 is 1.48-1 I really think the second in the 60 is faster. The only way the 80 is faster is if the higher 1st gear keeps you from blowing the tires on the line IMO.
Turbo 4L60E 3.06 1.62 1.00 0.70
Turbo 4L80E 2.48 1.48 1.00 0.75

The 4L80e has a tighter ratio between gears.. When it shifts from 1-2, RPM's only fall to 4700-4800rpm keeping the engine in its powerband. I can do about 62-63mph in first and 101-102 in second with a 63-6400 shift point. With the same combo, my 60e shifted out second at about 90mph. When it went into 3rd, it felt like i hit the brakes. lol

And the fall from 1-2 and 2-3 absolutely sucks in the 60!!

A stock 80e will handle more power than all but the very best built 60e.

Swap to an 80e and you will understand, especially since you have a turbo.

well i might get a TNT F1 nitrous system. I do have 4.11's and with my 2800 stall i have been cuttin like 1.8 60'. I have 28" toyos on stock wheels. they hook up well at our local track, but i have been wanting to get a bigger stall.
