Corey, just to elaborate a little bit about what dezert1500 is trying to say....
The sensa-trac has grooves cut in the tubes that allow fluid to bypass the piston during part of it's travel. This is designed around the vehicle's factory ride height. The grooves only run part of the length of the tube, not the whole tube. So, if you install them on a lowered or raised suspension, they ride like ***(typically). Here's some info from their site, I couldn't find any better pics.

http://www.monroe.com/products/sensatrac_truck.asp

The Monroe® Sensa-Trac® truck shock absorber with PSD (position sensitive damping) and the Safe Tech™ system combines our exclusive precision tapered grooves in the pressure tube with application engineered valving and Fluon banded piston to improve the ride, handling, and safety characteristics of the vehicle.

5.Unique Groove Tube - PSD: Precision tapered grooves in the pressure tube perform like an additional stage of valving for optimum light truck ride tuning.

Everything I have read says the reflex are better for handling but are bumpier. I would give the sensa tracs a try without the bumpstop IMO.

Thanks for the extra info AKlowriderZ71.

I've tried numerous Sensa-tracs at different heights then I stopped messing around and installed the Kings. All the Sensa-Tracs were horrible especially at controlling the quick, sharp bumps.

The last shock and best shock I ran was the Reflex monotube shock for the 88-98 Silverado's as they are shorter and work better for the lowered trucks. I never heard of anyone trying them and I gave them a try. I've recommended them to a few people since then with all positive results for the price. BlackGMC imo that's what you should try out. I think the # is 911513 if I remember right.

Don't remove them! You do need them to take the shock out of a big suspension hit.
DING DING, this is what i think everybody forgets, they are different. It makes no sense imo to make a 2wd ride on the bumpstops, even if they do compress like people are saying it will..? it will ride better with a shorter stop with no contact imo..

also agree with this second part, i didnt feel comfortable taking mine completely off and leaving nothing. and since mine has been lowered ive probably only hit the fronts maybe twice on severe unexpected dips, but im still glad they were there instead of just bottoming out with no stop at all..

I just took a hacksaw blade and cut my bumpstops to about half length. Rides a whole lot better now!!
