Well my truck is shuddering really bad and barely moving when in a drive gear.

I gave it about half throttle when leaving a friends house tonight and bam, that happens.

ABS light came on too.

When truck is turned off, but in neutral and we push it it makes a groaning rubber whine, or metal on metal screach..

I am thinking torque converter, how about yall? Any idea on what to check first to get this back on the road? Also does anyone know why the ABS light would turn on?

 

I think the fuddle took a dump. Pull one of your tranny cooler lines and run it into a bucket, start the truck and see if the pump is still working.

But I could be completely wrong, just throwing it out there

That's how mine sounded when my converter blew up sad to say it also took the trans with it. Good luck.

 

Well guys, I had the converter cut open and inspected.. it was 100% fine. I had all the seals replaced and refreshed the converter anyways since it was already taken apart..so its good to go..

The question now, is what in the transmission could have broken to cause thay shuddering in any drive gear? Or is it possibly rear end?
