Default silverado rear end swap

will a rear end off a 05 rst silverado easily swap with a 02 silverado. the rst is wrecked and i was just gonna unbolt it at the springs and get the whole rear end..? will it work?

Uh! The 05 should be drum brakes and the 02 disc. Hm?

Find a compatible year model rear end. The 05 drums are more than just that. Different master cylinder, proportioning, antilock programming. If it did just happen to bolt in and you got the lines plumed in you still have e-brake issues and there is no telling about the braking force.
