Smile Simple Brake Upgrade? Pads?

After 220,000 miles , it is time to replace the front pads. I also need to replace the rotors (one of them has "heat spots" that cannot be turned). So, with that in mind, I can go to my local GM dealer and by stock replacements, or NAPA, or whatever.

BUT -

Is there a replacement pad that will noticeably increase performance without drastically reducing life of the pad or rotor? Have you personally used the pad replacement, and what difference did it make.

Thank you for your input.

I put EBC green pads and their "OEM" rotor on my rear. Braking improvement improved but not as much if you'd change the front IMO. They're products have very good reputation.

Raybestos Brakes - Products

These are available and work very well. They are also sold under a Carquest label.

I have powerslot fronts with hawk pads and I am happy with my braking capabilities.
