Default t56 swap

So how do you think I would do with 373 gears and the factory JG 20' tires sized at 295x40x20?

No I'd go with AT LEAST 4.10's. The t-56 is geared for a camaro with 26" tires or whatever

With the 3.73s and a 27" slick I was at the top of 3rd at 97mph. Now with the 4.56s I will be in 4th, but have not taken it to the track with the new gears, yet! I run a 29" winter tire and a 28" summer tire! I have not had the 28" on yet either.

BTW: 4th in the T56 is 1:1

And yes, I power shift it!

I run a 28 inch tire, with the 373's I went through the traps at 5000 rpm @112mph 4th gear. With the 4.10's I was at 5500 rpm in forth. This was with 12-14psi. I hope this helps. P.S. I just broke my t56 slaming 2nd gear. My clutch cost $1000 but it didn't slip for ****. It held 680hp and 780lbs to the wheels. OZ 700 single disk. Its for sale

Not with a torque challenged 4.8L. I need all the gear I can get.

With 4.56's, 28" slicks and FI I would think my 4.56's would work fine, but first gear is over real quick.

With your sized tires, a T56 and a SC you're going to want more gear. I say 4.10's, but you might want to consider the new 4.30 that Motive makes now.

Default Gears

Damn so it would not work well huh? I just had these 373 installed because when I bought the truck with 700 miles the guy had 456 gears in it. I took them out becasue the 4l60e with my setup loves the 373 or 410 gear.

They will work, but 6th gear will be pretty much useless

Why too low? I would think at 75 miles an hour it would be at 2K rpm?

still want to be in 4th just match your gearing to the setup. 1:1 is where ppl want to be, thats why they say the sooner you get in 1:1 the better MPH youll have
