Default Slight drop for '99 ECSB 4wd

Hey folks. I've been wanting to lower my 4wd since I bought it, but I'm not sure wbout the pros and cons. I'm just gonna set up the rear like a 2wd. For the front, I wanna lower it the same 2 inches. Should I just crank down the tbars, or replace the keys? Should I use aftermarket or 2500HD keys? How will this affect the ride? I'd spend the money on spindles, but I'm keeping the stock 16" wheels. Thanks for any input.

I'd just remove the blocks and decrank the stock keys to the stance you want. You'll be able to get enough drop out of the stock keys to match the 2" block removal.
