Ok I get it Corey. You were referring to rear band. I guess its possible that you might be seeing break in from some of the friction components. One thing came to mind after reading your post here earlier today. Make sure when you purchase a filter that you get one that is made by SPX Filtran and made in the USA. I have seen, heard and read of complaints when using cheap filters. The filter element and design is not the same as an OEM filter and issues just like you had happen. Please guys when buying a filter for any of your vehicles do not buy the cheapest china one you can get your hands on!!!

hmmm, i got the only one they had at the store, i will go up to the dealership and get a OEM filter in a week or so. thanks Vince.

They are made in the USA.

I've always used wix filters for everything they have an application.

Look at that wix filter next time around and look to see if the SPX logo is on it.

i guess i just need to order my WIX stuff from the internet, none of the parts stores around me carry them for my stuff....

Does anyone have a PN for the 80e filter and the oil filter for our motors?

Carquest Blue series filters are WIX. Do you have a CQ near you?

51522 wix for the long oil filter.

58608 for the 80E filter



We sell more wix filters than any other manufactures combined. Mostly hydraulic stuff, but we still get a decent deal on them.
Im ordering a case of the 51522's and some other stuff on our next batch.
