In the middle of mine now. Do I need some sort or balancer that is on the stock 60e yoke (the round ring) for the new one?

Alright figured out its inside clips. Now I can't quite get them in by almost an 1/8th inch. Which joint are you guys using ? Also with this slip yoke a stock 80 or 60e doesn't fit. I'm lost

Your talking about 5/8ths shaft length of the yoke? I haven't gotten there. I can't find a ujoint to fit this yoke where I can get the clips in it

Search on YouTube on how to change a u joint.. Takes 3-4 minutes.. Just use a short socket bigger than the cap, any big short bolt in a pair of vise grips and a hammer. If you have factory ujoints you'll need some kinda torch to melt the plastic around the caps. Get a new ujoint as well.

I finally picked up an 80E from '99 3500 truck. It has the bolt-on yoke currently. First question is, how can I remove the bolt? If I put it in park will it be safe to use a breaker bar? Is it normal threads, as in CCW to loosen?

Second question is, do I need to use a different output shaft? I've read about the o-ring that seals the splines but couldn't figure out what's needed for my setup.
