you knew you would find me didnt you?

i run solid mounts. not truck and car are totally different

mine are stock mounts that been plated on each side. as for driving not sure quite yet since i only have put about 15 miles on the truck but i will say it doesnt rock like rubber mounts do and it feels much more stable

but i have witnessed m ytruck rock back and forth slightly

george, you just welded a plate on the side of the motor mounts to make them solid? I may go this route

none of the motors torque would be lost through the twisting of the engine. if you sit in front of your engine and pull the throttle cable (if there) you will see your engine twist. solid mounts would keep this from happening. kinda like what a polyurethane trans mount is for.

Thats good then. It would also be cool to see your truck rock to the cam lope like quik's.
Hey Quik, what gauge of metal or how thick was each plate? I'll have to wait until you make a couple hard passes for your feedback on if your plates distorted or not

If i had a digital video camera I would record it. as on the gauge, I would assume 1/4 inch if the welding machine can take it.
