Default Solving mushy brakes & using ss parts to lower truck?

I've had a problem with my 01 C3 having mushy brakes since day one. I've got ss lines on it, better pads, and it's improved, but it still gets mushy-ideas?

Also, in lowering my truck, I'm wondering about using stock oem parts from the ss to get it done correctly-ideas on that?

Thx!

I'm not sure how a C3 is set up underneath, but an SS is just a 4WD chassis with decranked bars and no rear lift blocks. If you have blocks, you can remove them for 2" in the back and decrank the bars in the front. I've parked next to a couple of SSS and my Z71 isn't a whole lot higher...my front sits about the same McGaughys makes nice kits that will lower the truck 2/4 and 4/6 I believe, maybe it's a 3/5, anyway... that's if you want it that low.

Alot of people with '00-'04 trucks complain about the mushy brakes...mine does it, too. I mean, it will stop great, it just takes a litle more pedal effort. I'm so used to having to push the brakes harder that when I drive my wife's Monte Carlo SS, I about go through the windshield if I apply the brakes with the same pressure I do in my truck.
