Default some advice 17" wheels & tires for traction

hello guys, we live in Monterrey México, and we have just build a 2010 chevy cheyenne, the problem is that the differencial was changed for a disc brake that came off a 2009 yukón denalli, and we dont know what kind of wheels and tires are best for the track in 17" wheels, we can´t use 16" or less, because of the discs, the truck has the 3:42 rear gear ratio, cal-trac bars, 3000 stall from circle-d, 441lsx engine and a lot of toys, the truck is just 2K miles on the odometer, but it have never been on the track, because we do not know what kind of tires to use, it´s ok the hoosier 28 x 10 R17?

Very nice setup u have. I think the only 17" slick would be the hoosier 28x10. I run those on 16" wheels and they hook really good its probably your best option.

Ok, thanks, i think i will order this tires, and what wheels you think would be the best choice, i´ve seen a 17x9 wheels with 4.5 BS and -12 offset. Do you think this wheel will fit good keeping the tire inside the bed, i dont like the look with the tires out of the bed (fender).

The -12 offset will definately stick out past the bedsides.

To stay tucked, you'll need something close to a +10 offset, in a 17 x 9, or 17 x 8.

thanks for your advise, i think i will open a new thread with all the specs of the truck, i saw on your sign that you have a 4" intake, where can i get one, we put a 102mm Nick Williams TB, 4" wilson manifolds adapter with the LXR intake manifold, but we never found a 4" adapter where the MAF Sensor is, so we had to build a home depot 4" PVC air intake and insert the MAF sensor, because the tune is all MAF.

I don't run a MAF, I built my 4" intake setup with elbows I ordered online, and some 4" exhaust pipe.

I think you can get a 4" MAF from Lingenfelter, and there may be some others.

OK, i will check there, in the 2010 chevy silverado the MAF is Removable it´s not like in the 2008 i had, in 2010 it is a single piece that is inserted on the pipe.
