Somebody school me!!!!
You have the pinion yoke seal and then you have the yoke itself.....there is a seal on the yoke just behind the dust cover of the yoke. When I disassembled the reaend to put the LSD in, there were two seals on the yoke side but "not" the pinion gear side(only one seal that you tap into the rearend housing) . When I reinstalled the pinion yoke seal and the pinion yoke, the damn thing still leaks!!!! My question is that, have any of you guys seen or heard of two seals on the back of the yoke itself??? This is how I disassembled the rearend from the original factory set-up.
Thanks for any help!!!

there was only 1 seal on my pinion gear in the houing when i did my lsd and gears
think you could have buggared it up when you put it back together???
did you clean the yolk? or clean it with anything abrasive that could have hurt the seal?

Lets see if I can explain this a little better. When you pull the yoke off, look behind the yoke. There is another seal on the yoke itself. The yoke is what the DS attatches to. Not being a smartass!!! You take the pinion (yoke) nut off, pull the yoke off, pull the pinion yoke seal out of the rearend and then replace that. Then look on the back side of the yoke and there will be another seal on there that looks like it's pressed on or something. There were two of these seals on the back side of the yoke itself. Let me know if I can explain some more. By all means I'm not being a smartass, I just want to figure this out because I've R&R'd the seal twice in less than two months!!
Thanks,
James
