Default Spare tire w/ big brakes

I have an 04 RST and I want to put 2 spare tire rims (17s) on the rear when i go to the track so I dont burn up my 20s. Without me having to try it myself.......does anyone know if the factory steel spare tire rim will clear the 4 wheel disc baer big brake package I have on my truck?

Joe Gibbs Performance used to offer some sort of spare wheel/tire combo for their trucks with big brakes, I remember seeing it on their website when they used to offer it.

my RST came with a full size 20" Spare............

a friend of mine measured (i havent looked into/researched yet cuz i have no $$$), and if you pull the little "cover" off the caliper, you'll be able to clear 18's... 17's i'd say are a no-go.

are you saying ANY 18 will work, or does it have to have a special back spacing?

thanks in advance

well, we didnt get too in-depth in the measuring... he mainly just checked to see if an 18 would clear to begin with. its not something i'm gonna be able to get into fairly quickly anyway, but i'd recommend goin out and gettin some measurements before you go out and buy something...
