you need to get your pig running right before you think about spray. I would say keep your shot around 100 or so, and you should be ok. but yes a circle d billet cover is a good thing to have. even the one corey's got is nice and beefy, member...you member?

Well the truck runs great while its alive. It just tends to break **** every 2 weeks or so. Its ok though. Pretty soon it'll be a brand new truck! Lmfao

Im just stuck right now on what i want to do stall/spray wise... I might stay all motor. I just get so mad when i race guys with the bottle and get beat. lol even though im right there with them N/A.

I dont know if this was directed at me but,TCI is a diffrent converter so that point is moot. What I do know is every converter has a intent and purpose. My suggestion for the op was based on the not riden the line of failure.I have no problem with the characteristics/quality of the converter.Jus at the end of the day its still a restalled TB converter.I knew that when I talked to Chris about possible failure. He too wasent sure how it would hold up.I took a chance on running it.Im ok with the results cause, how would we get answers to the question at hand if we didnt.

Ill give them credit for being a damn good trash can paper weight. They suck, I cant even begin to count how many have killed their converters on this board including myself. Hell I did it with just an exhaust and tune 5.3 on a 100 shot. I only got about 10000 miles out of it. They just dont last in heavy trucks making decent power.

My reference to tci being a piece.....
About 6 years ago, The woodhauler and myself built a 408 for his truck. We chose a tci converter, started at the 3000 range. Was not effiecient on top end for ****, and the converter clutch went out not 1, not 2, but 3 times. Of course it had to be sent in to them for repair, They would not accept the fact that their converter was at fault, and would not upgrade it to the "better" billet design with a much better lock up clutch. So the wood hauler flipped the bill to pay to have it upgraded and now the converter is out again.

I put a TCI converter in the Powerglide in my Camaro and it made this god awful screeching sound. It eventually stop making the sound, but I don't know if that's necessarily a good thing. I'll never buy another one...

Whatever converter i decide to go with will be some form of Circle D. Chris is just too damn smart at what he does and everyone running them on the boards has had sucess running them.
Im not bad talking any other converter out there but when it comes down to it, i will only trust Chris at Circle D. I know im not the only one either...

I guess i will need to decide what converter will be best for my setup.
