are you planning on locking the converter? if not then id stay with a single disc imo. i ran a 278mm 3200 behind the 5.3 and the 6.2 it ran great man. the truck wouldnt do better than a 1.8 60' simply bc the cam needed more converter. i trapped the same mph with the circle d and the PI3600 im running now.
my 3600 60' went 1.74 spinning vs the 1.82 of the circle d. just a food for thought man....my truck isnt a 1/4 mile queen, that's why i miss the 3200. Dave is the first guy i talked to thats willing to look at my converter and see what he can do, and isnt going to break my bank.
Yank is 750 roughly shipped.
Circle D 278mm is 420ish shipped.
if you can take 300 more for a converter by all means please do it. if not then hey....i understand. your converter has to go with your mods...in turn i went donky cam and didnt have the converter for it.

Circle D 3400 258mm 2b multi disk here and I really like it, I paid 950$ shipped when we had the group buy on here, the lock up kicks freakin ****! Also Even though im a 4x4 weighing 5100lbs with 3.42 gears and 32" tires it drives pretty darn good and runs 150-160* with my stock cooler!
But the best part is Circle D's customer service, you get one free stall change and Chris is really on top of getting back to you by email or phone, I definitely recomend them
Only experience with yank was they never returned my call fwiw
Fwiw the converter is one place not to cheap out on, it doesn't matter how much power you make when a cheap converter is slipping 20+% !

If that's not it, it's near there. Both top of line are w/in $50 of one another.

So the 2B flashes to 3400 behind that 383? Just asking because I have the same converter and it will eventually be behind an LQ9 and I'm considering turning it into a 2C when the time comes. Right now it flashes to about 2800-2900 behind my current 5.3 (ultra-mild, specs in sig), and I'm on the fence about where I want it with a h/c setup...thinking about cam specs in the 224/228 .581/.588 112 range. I'm liking the 3200 idea with that setup, which is where I bet it will flash to as is...hmmmm
...sorry for the thread hijack....

Yeah depending on your weight, gears, tire diameter and hp id say between 3000-3200, mine flashes right around 3450-3500 but I'm actually going to send it in as I want it even tighter because my 383 really doesn't need any more than a 25-2800 fwiw
