I think I have the same problem as yours but on my 2x4 lowers and on 22's when cruzing on the freeway 70-80 the wheel is very touchie any bump or dips seems to toss the truck. I jacked it up and check everything and it feels tight. While holding the steering shaft I had my girl turn the steering wheel and thre is minimum play. I am leaning towards the box

My truck is alittle loose too, ive replaced the pittman arm, and both inner tie rods and it got alittle better but its still alittle loose.. this spring ill be doing both front wheel bearings, idler arm, and both outter tie rod ends.. maybe that will tighten it up, also i need to replace my steering shaft with the updated one. It makes alot of noise when turning slow.
Stone150, i would replace the parts yourself and get an alignment done.. if that still dosent fix it then i would consider letting the stealership work on it.. if you replace those parts yourself you'll save alot of money just in labor alone.
