Default stick in my spokes...700r4 question

ok guys i was under the assumption that a 700r4 shares the exact same case as the 4l60E. and am planning a 5.3 swap into my 84 silverado and was planning to just use my built 700r4 and someone told me today i cant use it. told me it wouldnt even bolt up. can someone confirm this? or can i use the 700r4. i was also planning to use my flexplate and convertor. is that a no go also or can i?

The bell housing bolt pattern is fine, I am unsure about the flywheel spacing however.

I know the torque converters are different too. There may lie the issue with bolting it up to the flywheel Steven was speaking of.
