I have a 2013 Silverado, 4.8L, short bed, long tubes with ORY, Tune, magnaflow exhaust, 3200 stall and the stock 323's. The truck feels better now that it has the 3200 stall but I'm still a little disappointed with how it feels. Is it worth the money for the 410's and posi? My friend has a 2015 Ford 2.7 ecoboost that he walked me in before I did the 3200 stall. But it still feels like he will hand me my ***. Will gears help me any or should I just deal with the truck being a turd?

Gears and converter are about the best seat of the pants mods out there. They should have never put anything taller than a 3.73 behind a 4.8 truck to begin with... Definitely worth doing the 4.10's or even a lower gear than that depending on fire size... 4.56's aren't unheard of...

Two choices. Turbo that 4.8 or yank it for a 6.0 shortblock.

My tire size is a 275/55/20 if you have an idea of what gear I should run?

Gears would do wonders......why gm ever put anything in these trucks other than 3.73 and 4.1 is a mystery, sure doesnt help with gas mileage, my 99 with factory 3.73 with 6" lift and 35s got better mileage than my 2wd stock 2013 4.8 ever thought of!!!!! And mileage in the 99 got better with 4.1 and so long as i keep it over 65 mph she gets awesome mileage....made a 235mile drive on 7 gallons.....filled up on my way out of town and filled her bavk up when i dropped her off to get tuned and had only used 7.25 gallons... And only about 8.5 on way home after tune and much more "spirited" driving most if which was over 90... Around town mileage is crap especially considering i only live a mile from work....

CAFE ratings....and shorter gears don't get better mileage in the grand scheme of things.

I wouldn't be afraid to do 4.10's. Especially will help around town driving.
