Default Stock 4l60e flexplate, how strong?

How much torque/hp are the stock 4l60e flexplates holding? Should I be looking to upgrade as I want 500-600 hp/tq at the crank? Can you suggest any good parts?

Turbo 5.3 is the goal.

I have to take my trans out, so figured now would be a good time to address this.

Get TCI and be done with it.

It's not worth having to pull the trans for the cost of the flexplate

Spend the extra $100 over the cheaper flexplates and get the TCI as GMCtrk suggested!!

I'm dumb and can't find the proper TCI part number for a 2002 Yukon 5.3, can someone help?

Perhaps this? Is there something cheaper? Ouch!

there are 2 version. 1 has the 3 bolt 4l60 pattern and the other is the 6 bolt 4l80 pattern. Depends what converter you are running.

I'm running a 4l60e mating converter in my 4l80e.

3 bolts is what I have.

^ I knew someone was going to chime in with making serious power and never breaking the stock flexplate. It's just a chance that i'm not willing to take. That's all. Not saying that it will break but if your in the market for a factory upgrade, Do yourself a favor and just get the TCI.
