Okay so after about an hour of searching and looking around the forum ive found a few guys that have this issue. only problem is that they all have shift kits and what not.
My questions is what would cause a bone stock 4l60e to have a harsh 1-2 shift. it does it hot, cold or whatever. It is only part throttle too. Like if i floor it,it does fine but if I am just rolling around a parking lot or taking off from a light its a pretty harsh shift. the truck has 120k on it so I changed the fluid and did a new 1-2 accumulator piston. Bad news is it still does it. What should i look into next? dropping the valvebody?? or should i just say the hell with it and take it to a trans shop?
thanks

i scanned no codes. current history or pending.. took it by the dealer this morning. pretty sure its something in the valve body. but i no official diagnosis yet.

Mine did this, only work done to the trans was a corvette servo (Start doing this a year or so after the install, not directly after). It got noticeable worst until it was so bad i would have to take off as slow as possible or it would spin tires, it was very bad in the rain, or traffic.
190k miles, cammed and put a stall in it, i changed the fluid and filter while in there. Transmission pan and fluid looked great but filter was clogged. Now it shifts soft only firm under throttle. I almost miss it, the shifts at part throttle are very "tame" now.
Try changing filter, and blowing out your cooler lines.
If that's not it then maybe it was a torque convert problem.
