stock 4L80 handle 450-500 HP?

yeah you'll be fine, my buddy is running a stock lq4 w/ a pred tune for engine and trans with a deep pan and tows 20K lbs (that means 26K w/ truck) at least 100 miles a week. Trans has 90K on the clock and hasn't given up the ghost yet.

There are THOUSANDS of 4l80s in service behind big blocks in vehicles that weigh 15,000lbs or more, with no problems. bone stock 4l80s are tougher than people credit them for.

sweet, Im glad to hear that. Trying to find engine/trans/transfer combo pullout now is going to be the harder part.

I shift mine at 6900. Rebuilt with stock clutches, th400 steel, transgo hd2 shift kit duel feed mod. So far it's been great

I made 680 rwhp at 6500 but shifting at 7200 on a bone stock 95' 4l80e.
