Default stock 60e's and mild cams

06 60e how much torque can that handle. Was wanting to put in a 228 tsp cam in soon after I finished gettin rest my bolt on stuff..wanting a fun truck for now

a 228 is mild? i lost second gear for an unknown reason (never opened it up) with just my 212/218 low lift cam at 65k miles

You're going to want a 3600-3800 stall too.

228 is a turd without a stall, my 5.7 whooped a ss with a 228 because it was so slow to gain rpm.

I'm geting a stall..thinking getting a circle d....but I doubt I will put a cam in till the 80 is in...

If u are gonna run it in your stock 5.3 thin i would go with the TSP 224 on a 112 or something like JB ran 224/230 114 which ran damn good. Stall would be best around a 3200-3600. This setup would be a perfect combo and deadly!!! Daily drivable with pretty decent fuel economy.

Don't really care to much bout mpg....4.30s going. To kill me but oh well never go any where anyways. Where you get your tru trac and gears? Only like 3 places I can find that sells 4.30s

228R in a 5.3 with a 3800 converter is an awesome ride. I dont care about what people say about big cams, riding in one and the way it runs in high rpm's is very fun to me.

I wanted to cam my sierra when I had it but the 60 was slipping with the stock cam.... Only had 70k on it. I would at least do a hd2 and vette servo at the least.
