Stock driveshaft??

Default Stock driveshaft??

i just got my ECSB 6.2 tonight with the Z85 suspension and max tow.... 3.73 gears. Is this the driveshaft people are saying they break? the damm thing is at least 5 inches in diameter. is this driveshaft different than other 6.2's?? vortec max and max trailer package different??? i have the 9.5 inch rearend.

They will still break.. The stockones aren't meant to go above like 100 or so mph..

ok even the one with the 14 bolt rear huh?? I like the tube size but hate how it necks down to 4 inches from 5. The U joints are huge. i spoke with my driveshaft guy and he said he can custom build me an aluminum one piece one. who the hell wants a driveshaft failure with that shaft under there. the thing will wreck the truck underneath. They must be built like **** to break at the size it is.

One thing is they aren't balanced for high speeds.. You could get it high speed balanced and it would prolly be a lot better.. My stocker (4" one piece aluminum) let go at like 130 mph the shaft itself just blew up lol. Yoke was still in the trans with the ujoint in it and the ujoint was still in the rear just the main part of the shaft was gone .. I got about 2ft of it but the rest of it was nowhere to be found
