Default Stock Traction Control

i know it was offered in my truck when new but the person who ordered it didnt buy it, and ive seen that that package isnt very expensive, so based on that i have a few questions

hows it work? is it a trq management thing or an ABS thing? or sumthing else

can i install it,if so how hard and what all do i need to buy and change?

is it worth it? does it really work that good when on and does it fully disable when the off button is pushed or is it sumwhat there still?

idk im prob missing a few more questions but i mainly ask this cuz i have a RCSB 5.3 with a G80 and yea its cool 2 spin the tires but i only wanna do that when i try to, not when im in the rain trying just 2 leave a stoplight..

ill ask the rest if i remember em.

Thanks in advance!

They never had a traction control option for silverados. They have autotrac for z71 trucks and that's it.

hmm maybe not in silverados? but b4 i found mine used i was going 2 buy the same identical truck brand new, like same year and everyting and one of the options was traction control and i wanna say it was no more than $700 but im almost positive it was 350$ to 400$ and when i asked em about it they showed me a ext cab on the lot that had it and it was just one big buttton where ud normally see the 4x4 controls that said "TC"

my trucks a 2006 Sierra NBS RCSB 5.3 2wd SLE
and it also shows it on KBB as a option

::Edit:: and if i look at my cluster at a angle i can see all the warning lights
and i can clearly see one that would be traction control off light

Gm Did Offer Traction Control In The Pickups..... I Would Not Recommend Trying To Add It, As The Ebcm Is Different, The Dash Harness Is Different, And The Bcm Programming Is Different

Well Ebcm Is Electronic Brake Control Module

Bcm Is Body Control Module.

And To Be Honest Im Not Exactly Sure Everything You Would Have To Change To Make It Work... Good Luck If You Want To Find Out... But I Theres Not Even Close To Enough Time To Search The Whole Drivetrain To Find Every Part You Need
