4hi, stall up, let go of brake and hammer the gas. Works every time
.
For a 2wd, Id tru to leave at about 1500, and feather the gas just till you spin. Also practice, as no two methods are exactly the same.

Therat if you are talking about revving it in neutral then throwing it in drive you are killing oyur trans. It will be toast shortly. Me I have 4wd so I just punch it but in two wheel drive stall it up to where it almost breaks the tires loose let off the break and punch it feather the throttle to keep traction. I think its funny that everyone makes fun us 4wd guys for making a heavy truck fast but we never have traction problems well until you have full boltons 3K stall and a 100 shot![Grin](https://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
You will also find that sticky tires will make the biggest difference in the world for traction. Everyone seems to like toyo proxe s/t's thats what I will beputting on my 18s soon.

everyone trucks is diff and every surface is diff . i can be on 441 around here which is a slick road and have to come off at idle and hit it and still spin . or some roads like the road behind my house i stall it up to 900 an gun it . when i wanna do a burnout i stall it up to 1200 or so and hit it . and at the track after a good burnout , 20 psi , i get it as high as i can get it stalled before inching forward then hit it on the thrid yellow
