Default Suspension drop question...

My question is if I want to drop my truck 3/5...could I just buy a 3/4 drop kit with coils up front and shackle/hanger kit in the rear, then take the blocks out from the rear to achieve the last 1" drop? Would that work or does taking that block out make much of a difference? Thanks.

Are you 4wd?
if not there are no blocks. you can remove the overload spring which will be close to an inch.
then you need to think about traction aids like caltracs

Ahhh I didn't realize that the blocks only came on 4wd trucks. Correct, my truck is 2wd. My fault...guess I should've just looked underneath my truck. So taking the overload spring out with get an inch...I take it will decrease the payload a little bit. Thanks 95brightteal!

Javi05 your truck is realy high for a 2wd looks to me like someone cranked the hell outta the bars and put lift blocks in. hell it is way higher than my 4x4 when it was stock.

he has a RCSB, they did not make a VHO with a torsion setup ever, so i am safe in asking him.
now with an ECSB you have an argument.
And i always check to be sure...

Do you plan on doing a C-notch? with much more than 4" i would recommend it, otherwise you will be hitting frame. I plan to notch mine before i pull the overload

I can almost guarantee the dealer cranked the bars J. that's not set at GM spec'd Z height. And yes, if you have t-bars (2wd or 4wd) and are not an SS, you have rear blocks. Coiled trucks have none.
