wanna put money on it? lol.. i really think they rasied them to fit the big 20's on there for clearance issues.. thats the only difference this truck has to others. i didnt get it either, a 4.8 cc with heavy duty susp.. ? why? i dont know. lol.. but it is different than all other trucks i see. this lil 4.8 moves the truck well imo.. compared to the 04 4.8 ec i had. big difference.

My Bro in law has the same truck with the same 20's and doesn't sit that high, the extra crank is not needed if you have the factory 275/55/20 Goodyear LS-2 tires. If the tires are bigger, the dealer had them installed and cranked the bars to fit. It's not unusual for the dealer to crank and re align these trucks, it usually comes at the consumers request, but from time to time, they do it while they are still on the lot to make a certain truck more appealing (like a green crew cab with a 4.8) Of course, this is JMO

i understand what your saying. when i bought my first truck there was about 20 to choose from. all the same wheels and height, but i returned it when the financing fell threw and they wanted more.. so i waited about 6 months went back i found this one the same exact truck as my first but green.. i think if your bro's truck isnt lifted like mine he is the one that got the dealer to put the rims on it. i have seen a couple around town like mine.. i never seen a non lifted truck stock with the 20's unless bought after market.. the only year these 20's came out on chevys was 07 classic. and i think vho. not sure. i would like to see if you have any back up to what your saying. cause if the dealer did crank it they did all 20 trucks i saw. especially with almost no miles. i highly doubt that.

research Z-height and the measure yours, if it is out of spec, then it did not leave the factory that way, that is all.

btw - his truck is an 07 classic Crew cab

Real easy, just do what Big Country suggested and you'll have your info... Or you could just speculate and call it fact.

i guess the dealer put the skid plate on too.??? it makes no sense.. i also guess gmc made the same truck i test drove one of those too lifted like mine with 20's. what i remember is that its an 2ls w/sports package. chrome handles mirror covers and the wheels. i use to have the build sheet. but cant find it. i had this same argument on fsc.com.. and i was right.. if anyone has any real info pls comment..

yes, torsion bars and rear block, but deffinately not level. It sits exactly like a 4x4, since it's got 4x4 suspension.. what's your front and rear fender height? I will pull a tape on his and we can compare.

You dont need the truck to be lifted to fit the 275/55/20s, its all in the backspacing. There are guys with 2wds (coil fronts) and 2" lowering shackles running stock size.

The VHO wheels??? Those were on 05s and 06s

This is a 06' with factory wheels and 275/55/20s... I know because I bought them off him awhile back, im pretty sure his truck was 2/3 dropped

And yes dealers crank TBars alot to correct the "Chevy lean", or to level them as BCx said to make them more appealing

i know that the wheels can fit with the drop and at stock height as i am doing the same.. (man that truck sits nice).. man i been looking online all day trying to find info. i found nothing. wow i never thought a couple of dealers chevy and gmc would lift the truck to make them "more" appealing.. i mean a whole lot of these trucks like this.. thats alot of work. but wouldnt the dealer tell me when i took it in for front end service that the bars were cranked? different dealer. i had a guy argue we me about my wheels not coming stock on an 07 classic and here you come in with an 06 with stock 20's. i learn new stuff everyday. big country i will do that when i get home,, thanks for your help.
